Lindsey Hopkins Technical College | Automotive Service Program

How did you become interested in your current program or coursework?
I participated in a county-wide automotive competition. A luncheon was held for the participants of the competition and what stimulated my interest in the program was when Mr. Lotito explained Braman Automtive Training Center (BATC) specifically the internship where we work alongside Technicians in the shop.

What do you like most about your program or coursework?
I like that not only do we have one-on-one instruction in the classroom but we have the opportunity to work on the cars which provides hands on learning.

Why did you pick the center/college you’re attending?
I weighed the pros and cons of the other programs and this one had the best benefits.

What do you plan to do after graduation?
I plan to gain employment and use my extensive automotive knowledge in the automotive industry.

What advice would you give someone thinking about a career in your field?
If someone is serious I would tell them, do what I did and list all of the automotive programs and schools that interest them, list the benefits and make a comparison to your interest.

What does “Career in a Year” mean to you?
Career in a Year means that I am able to get an education to become employable in industry within a year.
