iTech/Immokalee Technical College | Practical Nursing (LPN)

How did you become interested in your current program or coursework?
While finishing my last year of high school I watched my mother leave the food industry, and obtain her GED & CNA license. Her actions plus my passion for helping people in need encouraged me to pursue a career as an LPN.

What do you like most about your program or coursework?

What do you plan to do after graduation?
Upon graduating I plan on working for 6 months while preparing myself to enroll into a nearby college to obtain my RN certification. I do not plan on stopping here; I wish to continue my education in the nursing field.

What advice would you give someone thinking about a career in your field?
Make sure you have a passion for this field. Do not do this solely for the money. Be able to understand that nursing a person is more than giving drugs. It is assisting a person in all areas of life while they are in your care.
